Jeff Bridges, the famous Dude from Big Lebowsky has behind him a career of over 50 years in which he acted, produced, sang, filmed in over 70 films. He was nominated 7 times for the Oscar, but won only once (leading role in Crazy Heart). In addition to the Oscar, he received about 6 nominations at the Saturn Awards and won twice. That's why I was very surprised when I found him on the poster of a series produced by Disney in 2022. The first time I thought I didn't read it right, but no, The Dude Bridges, he broke the cat and marked the first series of his life, in a role that fits him like a glove. The Old Man is the story of a senile super spy who is forced to deal with the mistakes of the past, haunted by the ghosts of the black-ops in which he served in different theaters of war. The seemingly simple story at first glance becomes super complicated as the series progresses and takes us on the trail of the CIA-man forced to come out of the shell of quiet old age to save his life and his mustache and beard, and his family from the revenge of a former partner undercover adventures. Next to him we found John Litghow, the old actor who revived Winston Churchill in the super series The Crown, but also E.J Bonilla, the actor who shone in the war super series Long road Home. The old Man is an atypical spy-story, with surprising characters and a story in which we found an ingredient rarely found in genre series. I'm not leaving the house to spoil the surprise, I'll leave it to you to discover it, because The Old Man is a super story that deserves our time and patience, so hard-tested serials lately.
